You’re here because you probably want to know a bit about ME and what it might be like to work with me.
First of all, I don’t really like to talk about myself.
Yes, I’ve worked inside product and service businesses, from small, to mid-sized and Fortune 50 corporations. And started and built my own company, growing it to nearly $1million in 4 years.
Your investment in our work is so that we can focus on YOU and your business.
I won’t spend our time talking about myself. That is the first thing I believe about consulting & coaching.
Here Are A Few More
I won’t tell you what you ‘should’ do.
Neither you nor your company are ‘broken.’ You’ve succeeded in getting your business the level of success you knew how to produce. Now, you’ve set new goals… Perhaps that is growing your company, or transitioning it via investment or sale, and it’s time for learning new ‘know how’ and implementing the structures and systems to get you and your business to it’s next stage. My job is to uncover what needs adjusting, and figure out what approach could be right for you. That way you’ll embrace the discomfort of learning new things and putting them into action: applying new ways of thinking about business, taking on new skills, capabilities and systems. When you do, you get the results!
“Even if you’re on the right track, you’ll get run over if you just sit there” Sam Walton
Consulting and coaching are an investment.
Your time and money should produce a return, and not just be an expense. Creating change for yourself and your organization with the help of an advisor should not need to cost 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars a year. If we’re a good fit, we’ll find an investment level that is right for you. My clients report they get results that pay them back not only in the long-term, but o”en within hours of our work together.
Results require commitment, decisions, and action.
The most successful entrepreneurs and business owners are those that make time to work “On” their business, evaluating how things are going, acknowledging the gaps between how they could be working better, looking at the opportunities and choices to be made, assessing their trade-o!s and moving forward. For over 20 years my reputation has been based on clients taking action and getting results (https://feinholz.com/testimonials/). For our engagement to work, we BOTH have to be dedicated to creating results for you, your team and your company.
I believe in “teaching you how to fish”.
My father died when I was 14. That left me with the certainty that we don’t know what tomorrow will bring. That means I’m committed to passing the new ways of thinking about business and taking action along to my clients. It doesn’t serve you if I’m the expert at your industry, your competition, your business strategies, systems and processes. I want you and your team to have the fresh knowledge and the new skills and capabilities to rely on to assess your opportunities and choices and take your business to its next stage.
What makes you qualified to help business owners and their teams?
Although I received my MBA from a prestigious university, so did lots of folks. I don’t believe that’s the best way to determine the quality of a business advisor. Results are.
In addition to working inside small and mid-sized businesses, then in mega corporations, I’ve worked with more than 167 clients as their business advisor the past 20 years. Many of their stories appear on my testimonials page , and the Skills and Endorsements they and my professional colleagues have shared about me are on my LinkedIn profile
I value their feedback about their results.
What did you do before consulting?
In 2006 I was chatting with my uncle when I had an epiphany. I’ve been figuring out solutions on how to get things done more productively and profitably all my life.
Until that moment I hadn’t realized that I ‘got the gene’ from both sides of my family. My mother’s brother was a serial entrepreneur and then business advisor. My mother has been the unpaid facilities manager for her synagogue for nearly 40 years. My father was a serial professional and executive in many industries.
I worked temp jobs throughout high school and college and already in my teens I was asking my employers “has anyone ever thought about doing this … (an alternative way)?”
Throughout my professional career, working with professional service firms, consumer product companies, manufacturers and ‘multipreneurs’ I was constantly exploring and studying, learning from experts. Regardless of my titles, I was setting new goals, putting new paradigms and tools into play with my teams, improving each person’s performance. The same for the systems, structures and performance of each company. The key was always getting everyone thinking like an ‘owner’ of the business, bringing their ‘what if’ ideas out of the closet and into the open and taking responsibility for their results.
Do you have a life outside of work?
Yes! (and after working with me, yours will expand too! I believe in creating businesses that let you have the full life you want to live NOW).
When I’m not working I enjoy:
Great conversations on 100 topics Exploring art, music, theater Reading
And travel. Rather than carving out small trips, about every 4 years I take what people seem to think is an ‘extreme’ vacation. Here is a picture of me traveling with my niece for 6 weeks in Europe as her high school graduation, with a day at the Louvre.
My philosophy is “1 day on the ground for every hour of travel it takes to get there… and back ;-)”
Other ‘stuff’?
One of my clients shared that they love my style of working with him because the ideas and tools I share with him frees him from ever getting ‘stuck’ in the business. Another shared that she has dream conversations where we’re solving things in her business and laughing as we do so. Who knew I’d become a dream avatar?!
